Full Tilt Poker’s Red Pros Dropped

While pretty much everyone in the online poker industry welcomed the re-launch of Full Tilt Poker and the returning of player monies, the move has left quite a few possibly important questions in its wake. Full Tilt Poker’s red pros for instance were left out in the cold, not knowing whether they would get to regain their statuses and whether their contracts would be honored or not. Full Tilt has recently sent out an email to address the issue, in which it was made clear that none of the red pros would regain their special status and their contracts would in fact not be honored.

The Red Pro group will not be maintained by Rational Group (the company behind PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker), instead of it, “The Professionals” will now officially represent the brand and the site. Full Tilt Poker’s manager of Team Pro, Dustin Ianotti has also made it clear in the above said email that the poker room had no intentions to expand its group of professionals in the foreseeable future. He also mentioned though that the site would keep Red Pros’ contracts on file just in case Team Pro additions are considered in the future.
According to the same email, the only obligations the Rational Group assumed in the Full Tilt takeover were in regards to the returning of non-US player funds. That also explains why Full Tilt Poker’s ex-affiliates received a similar email, informing them that none of the money in their Full Tilt accounts at the time of the post Black Friday suspension of activities would find its way back to them.

Red pros will be able to keep their existing screen names, or they can request to have it changed back to what it had been before they attained Red Pro status.
