High Stakes Action Flares Up at Full Tilt Poker

Since PokerStars have transferred the bulk of the cash games to
Full Tilt Poker, the action has been intensifying with more and more of the nosebleed stakes regulars setting up shop at Full Tilt. One of the first players to make the move was Viktor Blom who rose to notoriety at Full Tilt a few years ago. Although the Black Friday shutdown of the site temporarily forced him to move his business to PokerStars, Blom took the first opportunity to jump ship back to Full Tilt Poker.
Blom’s 2013 performance at Full Tilt was just as swingy as his 2009-2010 run: he started off by actually surpassing all the earnings of 2012’s biggest cash game winner in just a couple of weeks. Since then though, he has been giving money back by the bucketful.
Despite his major swings, he’s recently embarked on a new challenge mission: he and the other two Full Tilt Poker professionals, Gus Hansen and Tom Dwan, will play three of PokerStars’ most aggressive and highly skilled in-house pros, Daniel Negreanu, Isaac Haxton and Bertrand Grospellier, in a series of heads-up bouts, during the
EPT’s London stop.
In an interview given to a major
online poker news site, Blom recently said that while back in the days he had preferred anonymity, he would definitely sign with Full Tilt again given the choice.
Known as a NL Holdem buff, Blom has evolved and diversified his skills in several ways since his last Full Tilt Poker heydays. He has taken up mixed games and he said he was working on his 2-7 Triple Draw game.
Although to some it may seem like his current downswing has the Swedish pro in a dire predicament, that apparently is not the case. He said he was dealing with it in his own way and looking to rebound soon.
