Ilari Sahamies Looking to Become 2011’s Biggest Online Winner

As 2011 winds down, the battle at the top of the year’s biggest online poker winners’ list intensifies. Ilari Sahamies and Rafi Amit are two players who look poised to make it as far up on that list as possible. The top 10 still shows shades of Full Tilt Poker: 7 of the players from the top 10 have made their profits at Full Tilt Poker. The remaining 3 players are PokerStars players.
Sahamies does indeed look to be on track to finish on top: even last week, he was among the top winners. The biggest winner of the week was Ben Tollerene, who pocketed $277k+, having logged 7,394 hands over 106 sessions. Sahamies wasn’t far behind though. He made a $251.7 profit, off 605 hands spread over 10 sessions.
Davin Georgi also made the winners’ list with a $246.6k profit. Whenever there are massive winners, usually there are massive losers too. Last week, the unenviable title of the week’s biggest loser went to Fake Love888, who dropped $447.9k over 18 sessions.

Rafi Amit’s hot run began on December 2 when he returned to the nosebleed stakes tables for a 100 hand outing. He finished that session with a profit of $78.7k. The biggest pot of the day ended up in his possession as well. The $96,776 monster found its way to Amit’s side of the table after a perfect hand situation: his Q-high straight edged out Fake Love888’s J-high straight.
Fake Love888, whom people suspect to be none other than Patrik Antonius lost a massive $99k that day. The following day, he returned to the virtual tables, only to end up $103k below the red line again. He was involved in that day’s biggest hand too, and he lost out again, that time to Tollerene.
Sahamies saw action on December 5, when he dropped a truly massive pot to Peter Chan but still managed to finish with a $50k profit.
