Killarney is calling and Ladbrokes Poker is sending. If you want to rub shoulders with the best at the Ladbrokes Irish Poker Festival, you’d better check out the qualifiers now. Killarney is where every right minded poker player is going to be heading at the beginning of October for the Ladbrokes Irish Poker Festival, and if you play your cards right you could be joining them. The Ladbrokes Irish Poker Festival will be held at the Irish National Events Centre in Killarney from October 1st to 3rd, and if last year’s event is anything to go by, it will be a swinging success. Last year 752 players took part in the event, and it was actually a Ladbrokes Poker player, Thomas Rolfe, who walked away with the first place prize. The 2010 Ladbrokes Irish Poker Festival is promising to be even bigger and better than previous years. The Main Event has a €550 direct buy-in and a guaranteed prize pool of €250,000. Ladbrokes is offering packages to players that are better value than ever. The value of the prize package is €900 which covers the event buy-in as well as accommodation at the Gleneagle Hotel, and access to the Ladbrokes hospitality facilities.
There are a bunch of ways to get yourself one of these Ladbrokes Poker packages. Every day there are qualifiers running ranging from €3 + €0.30 and upwards. There are weekly finals running on Wednesdays at 19:50 with direct buy-ins of €125 + €9, and from these weekly finals those prize packages will be awarded. In addition to the main event, the Ladbrokes Irish Poker Festival will include 2 side events. There will be a 2-day €270 + 30 poker tournament, and a 1-day €150 + 20 tournament. But of course, no one goes to Ireland just for the poker: Killarney is famed for its Irish hospitality and let’s not forget that renowned Irish nightlife that will keep you burning the candle at both ends!
