The Ladbrokes Irish Poker Open is on the horizon, and you could be winning your seat at the €250,000 guaranteed Main Event today.
The Irish Poker Open last year attracted some 832 players from which Irishman Jimmy McSweeney emerged victorious with the €100,000 first place prize. This year, is promising to hold the same excitement, the same opportunities, and of course the same high class of poker play. This year's Ladbrokes Irish Poker Open will be taking place at the Irish National Events Centre, Killarney between October 2nd and 4th, and will be made up of the main event as well as two side tournaments. The Main Event has a €550 buy in, but Ladbrokes is making available packages worth €950 each that include the buy-in for the main event as well as 3 night' accommodation at the Gleneagle hotel.
In order to qualify for one of these packages there are three stages that can be worked up through, or bought into at any point. The first step is a Daily Satellite of which there will be several running throughout each day from Monday to Saturday with a buy in of €3. The winners of the Daily Satellites will go through to the Daily Finals which will be held each evening from Monday through Saturday at 20:30; the Daily Finals can be bought into directly for €20. The winners of the Daily Finals will go through to the Weekly Finals held each Sunday at 20:30, which can also be bought into directly for €100. The weekly finals will be running up until September 27th.
