The cash game action has exploded this week both at PokerStars and
Full Tilt Poker. Some of the biggest guns of the nosebleed stakes
online poker scene saw action, among them Patrik Antonius, Daniel Cates and Bryn Kenney.
Toomten, a new face at the high stakes tables, had a great start to his week, taking on Bttech86 at the $25/$50 PLO tables. He first generated a $159k profit, but then made the unfortunate decision to take on Daniel Cates.
Taking dough off a virtual unknown is one thing, and taking on one of the world’s best PLO players at his game is an altogether different undertaking. Toomten learned that lesson too, and it only cost him $79k, which – considering the circumstances – wasn’t that bad a deal for him.
The biggest pot of the Cates – Toomten confrontation was a $40.7k monster, which ended up in Cates’ pockets of course. He made a two pair against his opponent’s pair of Aces.
The other big winner of the midweek was Bryn Kenney, who made most of his money off Richard Lyndaker. The two of them played 3,737 hands, at the end of which Kenney walked away a $49 winner, even though at one point, he was as much as $76k above the red line.
The largest pot of the session was a $34,885 one, which saw Kenney hit a set of Ks against Lyndaker’s straight draw.
Patrik Antonius got in some limit Holdem action at the $3,000/$6,000 tables in the meantime. He took on Kagome Kagome, a player formerly known under the moniker “IHateJuice”.
The biggest pot of this session was a $66k one which ended up in Antonius’ possession after his flopped boat got the better of whatever his opponent had.
The biggest winner of the midweek was Also11, who booked a $92k profit. The biggest loser was n0d1ceb4by who dropped a massive $113k.
