Online Poker Action – Blom Back in Control

For a few weeks, the high stakes cash game action at
Full Tilt Poker (and even at
PokerStars) was soaring high. The biggest winners/losers posted close to million dollar swings, and Full Tilt’s Viktor Blom was mostly on the losing end of that equation. This week, as the waves finally subsided a little, the Swede was finally able to turn the tide, and from the top of the losers’ list, he jumped straight into the biggest winner position, taking down profits totaling $418.5k, for which he played 11,028 hands spread over 167 different sessions.
Not all the players who made the winners’ list this week were in recoup mode though: Hac Dang for instance managed to put in a not-too-shabby effort of $333,6k, over 42 sessions totaling only 2,573 hands.
Ronny Kaiser was once again in the winners’ circle too: he finished the week with a handsome profit of $287.8k. Phil Ivey added to his last week’s winnings as well: he ended up $266.9k above the red line.
Ivey may have started this year on the wrong foot at the online tables, but having become the biggest winner of last week and now having made the winners’ top again, he’s definitely on the right path to redemption.
Wherever there are winners, there have to be losers as well. This week’s biggest loser was samrostan, who dropped $499.4k in just 3,664 hands spread over 49 sessions.
RookieNFL joined him on the losers’ list with $338.7k dropped. The other big losers were punting-peddler (who dropped $331.2k), and Tom Dwan ($287.7k – things have really not been going well for him lately). Dwan has re-started his durrrr challenge II this week against Cates too, and he dropped some money there as well.
Talking about challenges: Doug Polk had another successful challenge session against Ben Sulsky, so he’s now about $596k ahead, with just 1.5k hands to go.
Play at Full Tilt Poker, enjoy the best cash game action and railbird some of the most interesting games ever.
