Online Poker Action – Blom, Hansen no Longer Full Tilt Professionals

The online poker action saw a period of lull over the last couple of weeks, as the number of players logging 6-figure profits has dropped quite radically. In another sign that the nosebleed stakes online poker action has entered a cone of shade, Full Tilt Poker have announced that the sponsorship contracts of Gus Hansen and Viktor Blom would not be renewed. Tom Dwan, the third member of the team, has left a long time ago.
Despite the fact that he was left without the sponsorship, Blom was the catalyst of the high stakes action for the second consecutive week. Last week, Blom walked away with a profit of about $121.1k. This week, he did a lot better. His profits totaled some $202.7k this time around. What’s even more impressive is that he only logged 1,419 hands spread over only 9 sessions.

The second biggest winner of the week was one of the regulars as well. Rui Cao finished the period up about $157.3k. He didn’t play a whole lot for it either: he logged 1,754 hands spread over 7 different sessions. Unlike Blom, Cao played at PokerStars. He logged a few hands at Full Tilt Poker too, but he ended up with losses there, totaling some $36k and biting into his PokerStars profits.

German poker pro Sanlker was the biggest loser of the week, registering his 3rd consecutive week with the biggest amount of money dropped. He only played 853 hands over 6 sessions, but he still managed to lose some $400.8k.
Other players who ended up dropping money were Elior Sion and bbvisbadforme, but none of them came even close to Sanlker’s losses.
