Online Poker Action – Blom in the Black Again

There’s been so much bustle on the live poker circuit lately, with the
EPT London winding down and the
WSOP Europe just getting fired up, that one indeed has to wonder whether what we’re seeing is in fact the second golden age of the game. Despite all the live action, most of the high stakes online regulars found the time to hit the cash game tables at
Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars yet again though.
Viktor Blom is one of those who cannot stay away from online tables and this week, he yet again managed to finish as the biggest winner. He put in 9,721 hands, spread over 145 sessions and he managed to accrue profits totaling a little over $630k. While Blom is something of a staple for big winners’ as well as for big losers’ lists, the identities of the other winners were pretty surprising to say the least. The second biggest winner was a player known as JayP-AA, who finished with 344.4k. Gus Hansen was third (!) with $241.9k and Carloo13 was 4th, with $240.4k. Indeed, it looks like the Great Dane has finally managed to break the ice winnings-wise, although he will have to keep the fire going for quite a while to ever catch up with his tremendous losses.
The biggest loser of the week was a bit of a surprise as well: while Phil Ivey rarely makes the very top of the winners’ list, he’s usually within the winners’ circle. This week however, he finished as the biggest loser, having dropped $476.4k over 41 sessions totaling 3,402 hands.
Samrostan had a tough stretch of action as well: he dropped $372.9k and for him it was a much more painful deed, given the fact that he had lost around $500k last week as well.
SallyWoo and kagome kagome were among the biggest losers too.
