Online Poker Action – Blom Loses Big Again

Viktor Blom has got to be the streakiest online poker professional out there. While most of his peers “only” experience 6-figure swings on a regular basis, going down or up $1.5 million doesn’t seem to be a big deal for the Swede. Last week for instance, he generated a profit of $1.7 million plus in a 6-hour long session against Ben Tollerene, logging what was quite possible the most profitable brief run in online poker in 2013. This week, the time to give most of that money back came and interestingly enough, it was to Tollerene himself that Blom unloaded the cash. Exacting some sweet revenge, Tollerene took back some $1.5 million of the money he had dropped to Blom last week.

Other players benefited from Blom’s bona-fide meltdown as well. Sanlker for instance, took around $213k from him. On Saturday, the two locked horns at the $500/$1k capped NL Holdem tables. The session was only 45 minutes long, but it was well enough for the German to secure a monster profit. Given the capped nature of the game, the two simply couldn’t play for pots bigger than $60k, but several of them reached that limit indeed and most of them ended up in Sanlker’s possession. Tom Dwan finished the week among the losers as well, although his losses were nowhere near Blom’s: he dropped $385k, over 7 sessions totaling 908 hands. Sebastien Sabic and Ignat Liviu made the losers’ list as well, the latter at PokerStars.

The biggest winner was Ben Tollerene, who took down around $1.2 million, having logged 33 sessions totaling 3,253 hands. Isaac Haxton won more than $500k too. SallyWoo made the winner’s lost as well. Over at PokerStars, the biggest winner was Odd_Oddsen, who took home $316.2k.
