Online Poker Action – Blom’s Heater Continues

The FTOPS’s 22nd edition has been a resounding success thus far at
Full Tilt Poker, but fortunately for the cash game regulars, it did little to draw attention away from the high stakes cash games last week. Most of the regulars saw action, and none had it better than Viktor Blom, who had added a fabulous $1.7 million to his 2013 haul last week, before returning to action and adding yet another $763k this week. Blom logged a massive 21,046 hands over 159 sessions to achieve the above said performance. Other players who did extremely well were Kyle Hendon who finished as the biggest winner of the week with a $1,089,696 haul. Patrik Antonius, who has been struggling lately, found his rhythm too, taking down $996k to clinch second spot on the winners’ list.
Wherever there are winners, there have to be losers as well of course. The list of those responsible for the above listed profits by way of donating the money was headed by SallyWoo, one of the nosebleed stakes regulars, who dropped a rather astonishing $1,079,216, and it took him only 2,763 hands to accomplish the feat too. Phil Ivey is usually one to grace the winners’ list, but this week, he too was forced to settle for a rather high spot on the list of shame: he finished $456k in the hole. Other players who registered massive losses were Tom Dwan, who dropped $289k and Ben Sulsky, who finished the week $228.9k lighter.
Interestingly, two of the biggest winners of the week, Hendon and Blom actually played each other at one point, and Hendon got the better of the Swede: after some see-sawing, he finished $353.2k in the black.
Fortunately for him, Blom had won some $464k from Dwan earlier in the day.
