Online poker action – DrugsOrMe wins big

The weekend was pretty happening over at Full Tilt Poker’s high-stakes tables. Many of the nosebleed stakes regulars saw action over the weekend. DrugsOrMe and cadillac1944 were among them, and they both made headlines, although for quite different reasons. DrugsOrMe walked away with a handsome profit, becoming the biggest winner of the weekend. Cadillac1944 on the other hand, dropped about $400,000, to thus claim the dubious honor of the biggest loser title.
Rami Boukai and Daniel Cates saw action as well.

DrugsOrMe and cadillac1944 faced off at the $300/$600 PL Omaha tables, and they didn't play heads-up. Some pretty enormous pots were played for, and one of these six-figure monsters cracked the $340,000 mark. Cadillac1944 started the hand under the gun, and eventually, after several raises and calls, he found himself heads-up against DrugsOrMe. The flop fell Jd,9d,4h, and after another bet and call, the 3c on the turn unleashed hell. Both players shoved all-in, and DrugsOrMe showed Q,J,10,8 for a top pair, while cadillac1944 had J,10,9,7 for a 2 pair and a straight draw. The two players agreed to run the river card twice. The first time, the 5s gave the pot to cadillac1944. The second time, the Qc evened things out, and DrugsOrMe picked up the other half.

Another monster pot was a $231,000 one, which ended up in DrugsOrMe’s possession after he made a bottom set against Cadillac 1944’s top pair and flush draw.

Rami Boukai and Daniel Cates were responsible for the most high-stakes hands played over the last few days. Boukai was the one who had the upper hand in this matchup, taking down the biggest pot of $76,000 too.
The entire board was run twice and it awarded the pot to Boukai both times. Gus Hansen saw some action too, and he generated a $238,000 profit, to make the top of the winners’ list yet again. Ilari Sahamies made the losers list with a $160,000 deficit.
