Online Poker Action – Dwan Bounces Back

The pros have been busy at the high stakes online poker cash game tables lately, registering million dollar swings up and down and generally creating a lot of mayhem every step of the way. This week, there has been a marked slow-down in the usually breakneck pace of the action though, but that doesn’t mean that the regulars haven’t seen more than enough ups and downs. Viktor Blom’s duel with Ben Tollerene stole all the limelight last week, and the week before too, but this time around, both players took it easier. Blom still finished the week as the biggest winner, but his $526.9k haul paled in comparison to the $1.4 million he had dropped last week. It took the Swede 6,021 hands spread over 83 sessions to log the above said profits.
Tom Dwan was on the winning side this week too. Unlike Blom, he actually managed to recover his last week’s losses. His profits totaled $446.9k, for which he played 4,083 hands. Last week, he dropped $385k, so on aggregate, he actually managed to eke out a profit.
kagome kagome was among the winners as well: he took home $302k this week. Patrik Antonius had a profitable week too, together with Daniel Cates.

Wherever there are winners, there have to be losers too of course. Kyle Ray was by far the biggest loser this week, having dropped $826.2k. Ben Tollerene may have done well recently, but this week, Lady Luck deserted his side: he finished with a loss of $265.9k, not particularly crippling considering the amount of money he had raked in the week before.
Phil Galfond’s name graced the losers’ list as well: he dropped $224.9k. On Full Tilt Poker, SetoKaiba1 was among the losers too. He dropped $203.8k, chump change compared to how much money the “big boys” swung around.
