Online Poker Action – FTP Bouncing Back

After the Black Friday-induced shutdown of Full Tilt Poker, PokerStars basically took over as the top cash game destination of the
online poker world. As soon as the takeover deal was put in place though,
PokerStars have expressed their desire to return the high stakes cash game action to Full Tilt, while continuing to attract the bulk of the world’s tournament traffic. They do indeed seem well on their way to achieving their goal: this week, the biggest winner may still have come from PokerStars, but the next 5 players on the winners’ list all came from Full Tilt’s tables.
The biggest winner was “1Il|1Il|1il|”, who pocketed $453.5k playing at PokerStars’ cash tables. Ben Sulsky was the second biggest winner, with $424.9k, which he earned at Full Tilt Poker, logging a total of 3.4k hands, spread over 36 sessions. He did actually play at PokerStars too, where he ended up dropping $210.8k. Ilka Koskinen did well too and so did Ben Chen. The top 6 was rounded out by a couple of players currently only known by their online monikers.
The biggest loser of the week was Tom Dwan. Now a member of “The Professionals”, Dwan’s roaming grounds have been moved back to Full Tilt Poker. It didn’t bring him any good luck this week though: he played 63 sessions, logging a total of 8,886 hands and dropping a rather disheartening $688.1k.
Patpatpanda was the second biggest loser, having dropped $405.2k. Ben Tollerene lost quite a bit too: he finished the week $337.3k lighter in the pockets. Scott Seiver rounded out the list of shame. All these above listed losers came from Full Tilt Poker.
Dwan returned to FTP on November 17. He immediately went on a 5-day poker binge, and he kept it up this week too.
