Online Poker Action – Gus Hansen Losing Big Again

It seems like every time the Great Dane decides to spend some serious time grinding away at the nosebleed stakes online cash tables, something bad happens to him, or rather to his bankroll. Signing up as a new Full Tilt Poker pro doesn’t seem to have helped Hansen shake the bad omen monkey off his back: during the time-frame spanning the November 15 to November 28 period, Hansen shed more than $1.8 million. Of that, he dropped $1.5 million during a single day, quite possibly setting a new post Black Friday record for the biggest single day loss. Needless to say, with so many “achievements” under his belt, he found it a cinch to clinch the biggest loser of the last couple of weeks title.
Rafi Amit lost pretty big at PokerStars too, in fact, he was online poker’s second biggest cash game loser for the above said period. Amit only dropped around $461.9k though, almost nothing compared to Hansen’s woes.
Another big loser was Ilari Sahamies, who played at PokerStars too, and who managed to get rid of some $381.1k. Odd_Oddsen rounded out the biggest losers’ circle.

Andreas Torbergsen, himself not exactly a stranger to the list of shame, was among the biggest losers at Full Tilt Poker. He dropped $359.3k. Ronny Kaiser didn’t do much better either: he lost $290.4k. The biggest winner at PokerStars was Ben Sulsky, who generated profits totaling $760.9k. The haul extended Sulsky’s lead in the biggest online cash game winner of the year race, to around $1.4 million. “1Il|1Il|1il|” was a big winner at PokerStars too, having taken down $464.6k. The remaining big winners came from Full Tilt Poker: Kyle Ray and Scott Seiver led the way there, with profits of $682k and $442k respectively.
