Online poker action – Hansen and Galfond in action

The brunt of the 6-figure pot action over the last few days at
Full Tilt Poker was born by Gus Hansen and Phil Galfond, who locked horns at the $300/$600 PLO tables, battling it out for several 6-figure pots. Thanks to the latest round of the durrrr Challenge, Daniel Cates and Tom Dwan saw some action as well.
As said above, several monster pots developed in the Hansen/Galfond PLO match-up, the first of which was a $155k whooper. The hand kicked off with several re-raises, and by the time the Qh,5h,2d hit the board, there was plenty to play for already. Hansen fired out a pot-sized bet on the flop, which got raised by Galfond. In response to that, the Great Dane shoved all-in. He then showed K,K,4,3 for the overpair and the straight draw. Galfond had Q,J,9,8 for a top pair. The turn and the river were run twice, and both times, Hansen’s superior hand held up to clinch the monster pot.
Despite Hansen’s strong start, Galfond was able to grab a few solid pots himself. One such pot was a $148k whooper, which landed in his pockets after he made a top pair with a flush draw on the flop against Hansen’s pocket rockets. The turn and the river were run twice again. The first run filled Galfond’s hand. The second run gave him trips, thus sending the entire pot his way.
A little bit later, Galfond grabbed another 6-figure monster. The $133k pot landed on his side of the virtual table, after he made a full house, prompting the Great Dane to fold whatever he was holding.
Another player whom Hansen played was NoPasaran. Having taken quite a bit of money from XWINK about a week ago, NoPasaran decided to play a few hands with Hansen. The largest pot of this session was a $114k one, which went to Hansen.
