Online poker action – Hansen wins again

Last week’s Monday was a pretty tough one for Gus Hansen, who saw his long-time winning streak crash in a more than awful manner. It didn’t take the Great Dane long to bounce back though. By mid-week, he was back up again, courtesy of Full Tilt’s PLO tables. Capped PLO is known to be Hansen’s preferred game and on Monday, his mistake may well have resided in the fact that he left the PLO tables for some $1,500/$3,000 2-7 triple draw action. He played against a player known as “O Fortuna PLS”, and he managed to lose around $500k in only 1,100 hands. Lesson learned, Hansen was back at the PLO tables on Tuesday, grinding away to get some of that money back. He played $500/$1,000 PLO with Cole South and with some other players, ending the day with a $260k profit, most of which came from South himself.

Wednesday, Hansen’s run continued. He took on a selection of some of the best PLO regulars, and managed to walk away with a $520k profit, at the expense of players like Rami Boukai, Scott Palmer and Andreas Torbergsen.
Hansen played well, but Lady Luck sided with him too here and there, so he was always in the right place at the right time.
In one hand, he made a small flush to take down a monster $145k pot. In another, though, Torbergsen’s pocket rockets held up to net him a $124k pot. In that instance, the board was run twice and the rockets held both times to give Torbergsen the pot.
Hansen rebounded later though, taking a $123k pot off Torbergsen, in a hand in which both players flopped a straight, but his was bigger than his opponent’s.

Torbergsen played XWINK later and he dropped some money to him too.
The biggest winner of last week was NoPasaran, followed by EazyPeazy, O Fortuna PLS led the losers’, followed by zivziv isr.
