Online Poker Action – Jens Kyllonen Still on Fire

Jens Kyllonen has been one of the most dominating players at the nosebleed stakes at PokerStars in the last few weeks. Last week was definitely one of his most lucrative ones: he logged a $500k+ profit, his biggest one of the year. This week, he pretty much picked up where he’d left off, adding another $320k to his tally. Altogether, he’s logged profits of $1.6 million this year.
MaiseE is another player who has been doing extremely well lately. He too took home more than $500k in profits last week, and this week, he managed to shoot right to the top of the leader-board with a $326.8k haul. He achieved that in 12.6k hands in 63 sessions.
Ben Tollerene was another massive winner, and he was quite a bit more efficient than MaiseE too: he generated a profit of $303.8k, having played only 3,921 hands spread over 53 sessions.
Ilari Sahamies not only failed to make the winners’ circle again, he finished as the week’s biggest loser, having dropped $277.1k. Other losers were Gavin Cochrane, a player known by the online moniker “Tsubi87” and another one known as “doncarignano”.

On Thursday, Jens Kyllonen dominated the high stakes action to the tune of $429k. The day kicked off with some $100/$200 PLO action in the early hours. Participants quickly got hooked and carried the action over to the afternoon. By the time the dust settled, Kyllonen was $429k richer.
One of the biggest pots of the session came about when three players shoved all-in: Kyllonen. Tsubi87 and Davin Georgi. The pot, which weighed in at $252,050 ended up in Kyllonen’s possession after his set of Aces held up valiantly against the onslaught.

The other protagonist of the week at the high stakes tables was MaiseE, a Swedish player some suspect to be William Thorsen. MaiseE has only recently surfaced as a true high stakes contender, but he’s already $1.1 million above the red line in a mere two weeks.
