Online Poker Action – Kyllonen Still on Fire

The WSOPE may have stolen many of our recent headlines, but one mustn’t forget about the high stakes online poker action going down these days at PokerStars either. While many of the online regulars are indeed in Cannes, looking to grab their piece of WSOPE glory, others are still busy grinding away at the online tables. One of the pros who haven’t deserted their usual battle-stations is Jens Kyllonen, and who can blame him with all the success he’s been having lately? September has been an outstanding month for the young pro and he’s not about to sit back while cards keep falling his way.
On Thursday, Kyllonen put in a marathon effort at the PLO tables. He played pretty much all day long, going up and down the stakes and fleecing everyone he happened across. He finished the day with an impressive profit of $239k, which – quite obviously – made him the biggest winner of the day.
Kyllonen’s largest pot for the day came at a $100/$200 PLO table, where he took on Ben Sulsky, the current year-to-date leader of the online profit-list. The hand in question saw both players shove all-in preflop after a series of raises and re-raises which got all the other contestants at the table out of their way. All the give and take resulted in an $88.2k pot. Both players had pocket rockets, but Kyllonen got lucky and made a heart flush to take down the goods.

Another major hand which developed that day, saw Kyllonen and “1Il|1Il|1il|” shove all-in on a flop of Jd, 2c, 6c. It turned out that “1Il|1Il|1il|” had a pair of Js and a draw to a J-high flush, but Kyllonen pretty much had him beat from the get-go with his pocket rockets and nut flush draw. The rest of the board changed nothing and Kyllonen picked up the goods yet again.

As if his Thursday run hadn’t been enough, Kyllonen returned for more on Friday, when he finished the biggest winner again, with a profit of $102.1k.
