The nosebleed stakes online poker action flared up at Full Tilt Poker again last week. Most of the biggest names saw action, and four of the poker legends ended up 6-figure losers, including
Full Tilt Poker’s Gus Hansen and Viktor Blom. By far the biggest loser though was Phil Ivey, known by the online moniker “Polarizing” at the site. Ivey lost almost $1 million ($945.4k to be exact) and he only needed some 7,982 hands spread over 71 different sessions to accomplish the “feat”. Most of Ivey’s losses were incurred at the PLO and 2-7 Triple Draw tables.

Daniel Cates lost big as well: he dropped $765.4K, over 2,727 hands. Also making the top of the losers’ list was Gus Hansen, the perpetual loser, who dropped $465.3k last week. Viktor Blom, Full Tilt Poker’s other in-house pro, made the losers’ circle too: he lost $268.4k.
The other side of the coin was spearheaded by Niklas Heinecker. The German finished the biggest winner of the week, having logged profits totaling $973.4k. He played 7,360 hands for it. “samrostan” made the winners’ circle as well: his profits totaled $464k. Phil Galfond was among the winners too. He finished $268.1k above the red line, recovering some of the losses he’d incurred during the previous week.
Elior Sion and Jens Kyllonen were also among the 6-figure winners. Sion took home some $160k, while Kyllonen finished the week $127k richer. Most of Kyllonen’s money came from the PLO tables, where he took on players like Ivey, Hac Dang and Ola Amundsgard.
The biggest loser of the year remains Gus Hansen, who is now more than $2.7 million under the red line.
