Online Poker Action – Sahamies Wins Big in November

The last two weeks of November saw quite a bit of high stakes online poker action at PokerStars. Ilari Sahamies was the one who finished with the biggest profit over this period: he booked $800k, off 73 sessions, having logged a total of 7,648 hands. This latest haul propelled the Finn into the lead on the 2011 list of most profitable online poker players.
Several other players logged impressive profits over the said 2-week period, but none of them even came close to the Finn’s performance.

A player known by the online moniker “Fake Love888” finished second behind Sahamies, with a haul of $431.9k. He played 21sessions and a total of 1,593 hands. Doncarignano finished with a handsome profit too: he took down $284.5k in 176 sessions. Ronny Kaiser rounded up the winners’ list with a $165.2k profit.
The last 2 weeks of November were as much about losing as they were about winning though. !P0krparty¡, had been flying high before, but over the said couple of weeks, he went from hero to zero, losing pretty much his entire PokerStars bankroll: he lost $623.8k, and he was forced to drop down the limits in an attempt to rebuild.

!P0krparty¡, is the high stakes online poker scene’s new mystery player. Many speculate that he’s Canadian poker pro Harry Kaczka, but nothing certain is really known about him, other than the fact that he came out of nowhere to dominate the scene for quite a while. He has taken on all comers and often, he put in marathon PLO sessions to amass a respectable bankroll, which he has now pretty much wrecked. Rui Cao was one of the players responsible for !P0krparty¡,’s demise. He took around $150k out of his pockets. Peter Chan joined in as well, as a whole bunch of high stakes sharks converged on !P0krparty¡, smelling blood in the water.
Tom Dwan, currently unable to play, is the year’s biggest loser thus far.
