The 2013 WSOP largely kept the high-profile players away from the online tables during the duration of the Series, but with the November Nine set and the Series largely wrapped up, the majority of the pros returned to their online antics.
Full Tilt Poker’s Viktor Blom was among those who never even showed up for the
WSOP, electing instead to stick to the trade that made them famous in the first-place. Blom, who has won the
PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker earlier this year among other high stakes accomplishments, has had an outstanding 2013 run so far. About a week ago, he was the biggest
online poker winner of the year, with profits totaling $5.2 million. This past week however was a pretty tough one on his finances: he ended up giving about $1.4 million of that money back.
He played 62 sessions, totaling 6,834 hands, becoming the week’s biggest loser in the process. He was joined on the losers’ list by Doug Polk, who finished as the second biggest loser. The amount of damage he ended up absorbing however didn’t even come close to Isildur1’s losses: he dropped $446.6k, in 37 sessions totaling 5,866 hands. Ben Tollerene finished among the losers too: he dropped $420.7k, having played only 3,768 hands.
The biggest winner of the week was a relative unknown: Tight-Man1 took home $1.27 million. He was pretty efficient too: he only played 3,516 hands, spread over 22 different sessions. A player known as “Denoking” finished as the second biggest winner with $809.5k to his name. Most of the money that he took down came from Blom. Kyle Hendon was one of the winners too: he took home $342.5k.
Having absorbed the above said losses, Viktor Blom remained the biggest winner of the year, with profits totaling $3.7 million.
