Over the weekend, the
online poker tournament tables saw massive action yet again. This time, no fewer than 8 players walked away with 6-figure prizes, among them several professionals. The biggest prize of the weekend once again ended up in possession of a player who didn’t actually win any of the Sunday Majors. 910suited44 walked away with $141k+, having finished second in the Sunday Million. Obviously, the biggest event of the week-end was yet again the Sunday Million. Having drawn a starting field of 6,865 players, the
poker tournament generated a prize-pool of $1,373,000, putting the $1 million guarantee to shame yet again. There was a 5-way deal at the final table, which left the eventual winner, brusYvo, with a prize of $136.4k. As said above, the biggest winner was the runner-up. Two more players finished in 6-figures: Kam1kazemaus, who finished 4th and gabriel171 who ended up in 5th.
The Sunday Warm-Up failed to create a 6-figure winner this time around. yard_warrior won this event, taking down $93k for his efforts. The runner-up was Asul, who won more than $90k too, thanks to a heads-up deal the two had struck.
Over at Full Tilt Poker, the tournament action swung into high gear. The 500k drew a starting field of 2,796 players, generating a prize-pool of $559.2k. The winner of the event was none other than Nick Maimone, playing under the moniker “FU_15”. Maimone bested TJ Ulmer heads-up and he made no deals on his way to the top. Maimone was the only one to take down more than $100k: his $103.4k prize left no doubt about who the best player in the tournament was.
Ben Wilinofsky won
PokerStars’ Bigger $162, taking down a $39.5k prize.
