The weekends are usually pretty busy times in the online poker world. All the massive prize-pool guarantees take place over the weekends and this past weekend was no exception. The FTOPS’ 16th edition was in full swing at Full Tilt Poker, in addition to the regular weekend guarantees. No fewer than 3 FTOPS events wound down over the weekend. Event #9 saw betrthanphil walk away with the top prize of $225k and a gold jersey, after having bested a starting field of 4,192 players. JackQKA and LuvYouLongTime were the other two FTOPS winners of the weekend.
As the FTOPS hostilities were raging at Full Tilt Poker, over at Pokerstars, poker tournament players were battling it out for the $258k prize offered by PokerStars. A massive field of 8,776 players registered for this event, combining buy-ins for a $1,755,200 prize-pool. Paul Williams, known online as “147_star” walked away with the goods as no deals were made at this final table. Benjamin89 took home $188k and the_blues57 pocketed $131k to join the list of six-figure winners.
Notable finishes in the Sunday Million were those of Alex Fitzgerald (who ended up in 56th place for almost $3k) and Derek Lerner who finished 62nd.

The Sunday Warm-up attracted a massive player field too. No fewer than 4,500 players showed up for this one, having paid $200+$15, or having won their way through satellites and free poker promotions. The prize-pool almost reached the $1 million mark, although eventually, the participants had to settle for $900k. This event yielded two six-figure winners as well. Timvd19 won the event for a $141k top prize. Z00ts finished 2nd for $104k.
TJ Slifka ended up in 11th place as Adam Sherman finished 23rd.

Full Tilt’s Sunday Mulligan attracted 1,333 registrants. The field combined for a prize-pool of $266,600. The heads-up stage of the poker tournament was marked by a deal between the top 2 finishers. The deal left “zelik”, the eventual winner, with $45k, while second place man, rjinnj walked away with $41k. Vivek Rajkumar finished in 8th place for a $5.5k reward. Another notable finish was that of Jerry Payne, who took $919 for his 24th place effort.

All in all - FTOPS events counted - the online poker weekend gave birth to 10 six-figure winners.
