PartyPoker’s FastForward Poker Goes Live

A while ago
we told you about PartyPoker’s new fast-folding poker variant, FastForward Poker, which at the time underwent beta testing. We are now happy to let you know that the beta test-phase has been successfully completed and that FastForward poker is now available for real money action. NL
Texas Holdem is currently the only supported format and it can be played from stakes as low as $0.01/$0.02.
While FastForward Poker may be a new dish at
PartyPoker, it is by no means a new game-format. Fast-folding poker was invented and first introduced by Full Tilt Poker a couple of years ago. Not much has changed quick-folding poker-wise since. When they hit the FastForward Poker tables, players join a pool instead of a single table. As soon as pocket hands are dealt, players can opt to fold right away, before the action reaches them. When they fold, they’re zoomed to another table, where they’re instantly dealt into another hand. They can fold there too if the starting hand is not to their liking, moving on to the third table and so on.
The game – called poker on crack when it first surfaced – allows players to log an unreal number of hands per hour. Those who know how to tackle FastForward Poker strategy can thus increase their hourly earning rates quite radically.
Those who want to push FastForward Poker as well as themselves to the limit, can even play heads-up now.
PartyPoker’s Tony G chimed in on the new game variant available at the poker room, calling it the pinnacle of action. Online poker is always about action and nowhere is there more action than at a FastForward Poker table.
With most of their competitors introducing their own fast-folding poker versions, PartyPoker were pretty much compelled to take action in this sense if they wanted to stay relevant and competitive.
