As on line poker sites gear up for Christmas, Betsson Poker is giving them all a run for their money with the Christmas Hunt and its Carnage Tournaments.
Carnage isn’t usually a word associated with Christmas, but those who play holdem this month in the Betsson Poker Carnage Tournaments will understand why they live up to their name. The Carnage Tournaments are part of Betsson Poker’s Christmas Hunt through which €100k worth of prizes are being allocated.
There are 5 tiers in the Christmas Hunt promotion each with a different raked hand requirement. The raked hand requirement to reach tier 1 is 100 hands, to reach tier 2 is 250 hands, to reach tier 3 is 750 hands, to reach tier 4 is 1250 hands, and to reach tier 5 is 2,500 hands. Each week the on line poker sites members are invited to reach as many tiers as they can, and in doing so will be given a seat for that week’s Carnage Tournament for each tier that they reached. As such players could play holdem in 5 Carnage Tournaments each week. Each Tier represents a different prize, and a different number of prizes available. At tier 1 there will be 1000 prizes given each week, and the prize is a ticket to a carnage tournament from which the prize is a tournament ticket worth €5.50. At tier 2 300 prizes will be awarded, and each of those prizes will be entry to a carnage tournament who’s prize will be a €22 tournament ticket. The Carnage Tournament at tier 3 grants entry to 25 people to a tournament with a prize of a Wowee Speaker, whilst at tier 4 it’s 17 people and the ultimate prize is Monster Beats Solow HD Headphones. Last but not least, Tier 5 awards 7 tickets each week for a tournament that will give away an iPhone 5!
