Poker trivia: Tony G to stake Isildur1?

Tony G is apparently very interested in dragging Isildur1 into the limelight somehow. The online poker guru and businessman had expressed his desire to stake the Swede last time, when his Full Tilt Poker bankroll fell pray to the Cardrunners boys, but Isildur1 ignored his offer that time around. Now, that the mystery man took another huge hit and was forced down the stakes again, Tony G dusted off his offer, this time adding a twist to it: he would want to stake Isildur1 for the PartyPoker Big Game IV, a 48-hour cash game which will take place in April. Provided he accepts, Isildur1 would have to face Jennifer Tilly, Isaac Haxton, Luke Schwartz, Phil Laak and Neil Channing, together with other same-caliber players. The only problem is that the event is a televised one and Isildur1 is more than shy when it comes to revealing his true identity. To take care of that side of the problem, Eddie Hearn, the managing director of the Big Game even accepted to allow the Swede to wear a mask for the game.
Tony G would pay for Isildur1’s flight, accommodation and he would stake him in the event. The offer was made on Tony G’s blog, although frankly, it’s quite doubtful the Swede will accept the setup.

The WPT Hollywood Poker Open’s final six bellied up to the tables some time ago to do battle for the winner’s share of the prize-pool and for the bragging rights that come with the title. Carlos Mortensen was the one who began the final table with the most chips. His 1,127,000 chip stack was only slightly larger than Frank Calo’s 1,075,000 one though. Also playing were Mike Mustafa (990,000 chips), Ravi Raghavan (488,000 chips), Chris Bell (372,000 chips) and Jerry Payne (268,000 chips).
The event could have special significance if Carlos Mortensen walked away with the trophy. A win in this poker tournament would give him his 3rd WPT title, which would tie him with Gus Hansen for the biggest number of WPT wins. The prize he’d pocket as the winner, would propel him past Daniel Negreanu on the all-time WPT money list too.
