PokerStars: 2013 SCOOP Schedule Released

PokerStars have made public their planned SCOOP 2013 schedule on Monday, tossing another tasty bone to the online poker community keen to analyze and to dissect. The SCOOP seems to follow the general pattern of growth at PokerStars: this year: instead of the 40 events of last season, there will be a total of 42 online poker tournaments. Again, each and every one of the events on the schedule will be available in 3 buy-in tiers: a low, a medium and a high buy-in one. This system is excellent in the sense that it allows players on small bankrolls to take part in the green felt hostilities and to do battle for large prize-pools, while making sure that those with more generous bankrolls can also maximize their leverage. Everything accounted for, there will thusly be a total of 126 events.
The series will once again showcase a wide range of poker variants: there will Holdem, Omaha, NL Draw, 7-Card Stud and even Badugi events. The very first event of the 2013 Spring Championship of Online Poker will be a NL Holdem 6-Max tournament.

The Main Event is of course the culmination of the Series: this year, it will take place on May 26 and it will feature the following buy-ins: low - $109, medium - $1,050 and high - $10.3k.
There is indeed quite a bit of value in these Main Events for everyone. Last year, the winner of the high version of the Main Event, Nick Grippo, took home a $798.6k prize. The year before, online poker buff Sammi Kelopuro was the one who took down the gold, pocketing a $505k reward.
The interesting thing about the schedule is that it is not a final one. PokerStars will take player feedback regarding the featured events into consideration.
