PokerStars Announce SCOOP 2013 Schedule

The tournament action never stops at PokerStars, as a matter of fact, it never even slows down. Barely has the last successful series wrapped up at the site, the schedule of the upcoming SCOOP 2013 has been made public on Wednesday. Apparently, the Spring Championship of Online Poker, which kicks off on May 12, will feature 44 events, each and every one of them offering 3 buy-in tiers: a low, a medium and a high tier.
The three Main Events will wrap up the series on May 26. The low version will feature a buy-in of $109, the medium one a $1,050 buy-in and the high one a $10.3k one.
Needless to say, pretty much every poker variant known to man will be featured in the Series. The buy-ins cover a wide range as well: they start at $5.50, and run all the way up to $21k for the side events. What that means is that high rollers as well as low-bankroll amateurs will find something fun and engaging at the SCOOP.

Many of PokerStars’ in-house pros are already gearing up for the SCOOP. Mickey Petersen for instance has said that the SCOOP was one of the highlights of the online poker year for him, despite the fact that he has still not won a SCOOP event.
The very first event of this year’s Series will be a $27 NL Holdem 6-Max event, which will doubtlessly attract a massive crowd of registrants. The guarantee for this one is set to $300k, but it is indeed highly likely it will simply be left in the dust.
The biggest buy-in event is the $21k NL Holdem heads-up High Roller, which takes place on April 25. The biggest guarantee belongs to the High version of the Main Event and it tips the scale at $3 million.
