PokerStars Caribbean Adventure High Rollers Event – Final table set

The third day of the
PokerStars Caribbean Adventure High Rollers event came to a conclusion when the remaining 24 players played down to the final table.
When the dust settled on day 3, Tobias Reinkenmeier stood atop the handful of survivors, going into the final table play on the largest stack: a 1,072,000 chip one.
Reinkenmeyer at least partly owed his huge end of the day stack to the elimination of Sandra Naujocks, the final one of the day, which officially set the final table and gave his stack a huge boost too.
Reinkenmeier had picked up a pair of Js on that hand, and the Team PokerStars pro had A,9o. The money went all-in before the flop, and the board brought a bunch of bricks which were of no help to either player (Naujoks did catch a pair of 9s but it was all too little, too late).
Many of the 24 players still involved in the
poker tournament at the beginning of the day were eliminated, and given that the money bubble was set especially high on account of the small number of registrants, many of these players had to leave empty-handed.
Most surprising was Dario Minieri’s elimination. The PokerStars pro went from hero to zero (quite literally) and busted out in 17th place, right on the money bubble. Also eliminated outside of the money were Vivek Rajkumar, Nick Schulman and Brett Richey.
Greg Raymer and Joe Cada were among those who made it past the money buble, but succumbed to the attrition before the final table bubble. Cada finished 11th and Raymer ended up in 13th. 14th place went to Isaac Baron, as Alex Brenes and Carter Phillips also missed the final table, finishing in 10th and 12th places respectively.
Lisa Hamilton, the last surviving female player and the
WSOP’s Ladies’ champion made the final table, as did Will Molson. The interesting thing about Molson is that he finished second in this very event last year, losing the heads-up battle to Bertrand Grospellier.
Matt Marafioti also survived. Dmitry Stelmak, Michiel Brummelhuis, Adolfo Vaeza, and William Reynolds will also be there on the last day.
