9 players earned their Champions’ titles on Day 6 of the 2010
PokerStars SCOOP. Many of these players were “name” competitors well known by poker fans world over. Peter Traply, known in online poker circles as “Belabacsi” was one such player. He pocketed the biggest prize of the day, a $128k whooper, by winning the
NL Holdem 2X chance turbo high.
Some of the other winners were villepn, Keith Ferrera and James Mackey.
The NL Holdem 2x chance turbo high
poker tournament featured a buy-in of $1,500+$75. A total of 455 players found the offer interesting, combining buy-ins to generate a prize-pool of $1,032,000. Traply could’ve won much more if he hadn’t struck a 5-way deal which stripped him of some pretty substantial potential profits. Danny Smith ended up in second place in the event, pocketing $116k.
The Medium buy-in version of event #15 saw AMBlues19 shoot to the top. No deals were made in this one, thus the winner walked away with a full share of the spoils: a massive $88k prize.
The Low version of the event was won by ricardo4473, who had to invest only $16.5 to win over $32k. It is true though that he had to dispose of no fewer than 11,206 opponents on his way to the title.
Event #14, the $5,000+$200 FL Omaha Hi/Lo one, attracted only 67 participants. Due to the high buy-in, the prize-pool still shot over the $330k mark.
The winner, villepn, made no deals, walking away with a $100,500 profit.
Daniel Makowsky finished second in this one, for $67,000. James Obst finished 7th in the poker tournament and Robert Mizrachi picked up $11k for his 9th pace effort.
The medium buy-in version of the same event saw Keith Ferrera collect the laurels and the $36k top prize, following a two way deal with Johannes Steindl.
7PRS won the low buy-in variant, taking down $17,948.
Event #13, the $1,500+$75 NL Holdem Ante Up event created 3 champions too. James Mackey won the high buy-in version, besting 312 players on his way to the $90.5k top prize.
Adrian Marin won the medium buy-in version of the poker tournament for $44k.
The low buy-in event went to pash123, who had to beat 10,712 players to the $21.2k top prize.
