PokerStars Zoom – Rush Poker Revived

Rush Poker, Full Tilt Poker’s last major contribution to the game of online poker was depicted as “poker on crack” by players and it got extremely popular extremely fast, only to completely disappear off the online poker scene after Black Friday. Besides rooting to somehow recover their monies, some Full Tilt Poker players are probably also secretly rooting for the return of Rush Poker.
They won’t have to wait much longer. Even though it’s coming from a different source, “poker on crack” will be back in the picture starting March 2012.
PokerStars have made it public a little while ago that they were working on a Rush Poker-like project called Zoom Poker. The same source has allegedly also divulged the fact that the public beta version of the game would be launched at the beginning of March, which is less than a month away.
The way the news got out was a rather peculiar one. Apparently, one of the PokerStars players brought up the issue of Rush Poker with a PokerStars rep. The answer the player got was more than satisfactory: PokerStars were already busy fine-tuning the Zoom Poker client and the launch date of the beta version was one well within sight.
In other PokerStars news: Italian players can count themselves lucky because they are the ones who will get their hands on the new PokerStars mobile client first. The new client will make play money as well as real money play possible for PokerStars players.
During 2012, players from France, the UK, Denmark and Spain will also be reached by the new mobile client, which PokerStars hope will redefine online poker play.
Other mobile PokerStars applications have been made available as well. One makes it possible for mobile users to track and watch their PokerStars.tv videos. The other one is an application which can be used as a timer for home poker games.
