Sahamies up $1 Million Again

Even though high stakes cash games are slowly but surely flaring up at Full Tilt Poker, over at PokerStars, there are still players resisting the flow: the biggest
online poker cash game winner of the week, Ilari Sahamies, took down his almost $1 million profits at
PokerStars again. After the last three weeks’ performances, when he first went up more than $1 million, only to give it all back a week later and to go up again now, it’s safe to say Ilari Sahamies’ new nick-name should be “the swingman”. He finished the week exactly $964,487 above the red line, having logged 4,381 hands for it.
He was joined on the winner’s list by Rafi Amit, who didn’t really challenge him for the lead though. Amit finished up $531,294, logging 3.1k hands for it. For the first time since the Full Tilt poker re-launch, players from Full Tilt joined the major cash game winners. Sebastian Sabic was the FTP’s biggest winner, taking down $247,652 in 713 hands spread over just 2 sessions. Sabic was joined by O Fortuna PLS, who pocketed $209k+ in just 867 hands.
The biggest loser of the week came straight from Full Tilt Poker as well. SallyWoo was the one who dropped $621.1k to clinch the dubious title, over a stretch of 2.2k hands. Viktor Blom was among the losers too, after a rather profitable initial run at the site. This week, he dropped $337.6k, having played 12.4k hands. Rui Cao played at both sites. He won at FTP, but lost even more at PokerStars, so he ended up $393.4k in the hole.
“1Il|1Il|1il|” had apparently decided to go on a massive grind and he ended up losing $466.5k.
Most of the money that Sahamies made came from the PLO tables on Thursday and Friday.
