The Last Online Poker Weekend of 2011

The last online poker weekend of the year is in the books and last 6-figure winners have taken home their prizes. The biggest winner of the weekend was the winner of PokerStars’ Sunday Million, llBurkeeee!, who pocketed $196.5k.
6,982 players showed up for the last Sunday Million of the year, creating a prize-pool of $1,396,400. Frankly, llBurkeeee! could’ve won a lot more, but the top finishers struck a deal, which gave the second place man, JackobFish a $167k prize. JackobFish was actually the one who began the final table with the largest stack, so it was quite expected that he make it to the heads-up stage.
The eventual winner had a medium-sized stack, but he navigated the various obstacles the final table threw at him well and he eventually ended up with the laurels.

The final hand of the event saw JackobFish shove all in holding Qs,10s. He was called by llBurkeeee! with As, 7s. The flop fell J,J,5,4,2 rainbow and neither player was hit for anything. llBurkeeee! won with an A-high.
The third-place finisher also took home a 6-figure haul: LFmagic pocketed $111k for his efforts.
A notable who finished deep was Richard Lyndaker: he ended up in 16th place, taking down a $3.9k reward.
The Sunday Warm-up also drew a decent starting field: 2,700 players coughed up the $215 buy-in, creating a prize-pool of $540k. The winner was crossthervr, who pocketed $85k for his efforts. Elik 567 finished second for $63.4k.
Jeff Hakim and Victoria Coren were two of the notables who made it deep in the event. Hakim took home $1.4k for his 24th place. Coren was rewarded with $1.1k for her 40th place.

The Sunday 500 saw Luke Chiciak rise to the top. He took home more than $50k for his efforts. He struck a two-way deal with second place man arxigos, who took down $48k+. The only 6-figure winners of the weekend were the three players who cashed in the Sunday Million.
