PokerStars have been preparing to re-launch the Full Tilt Poker brand for a while and now that an actual re-launch date has been floated (November 6 2012), Full Tilt has completed another significant move: it has hired its first ambassador to represent the re-born brand and to basically signify that things are indeed returning to normal. That ambassador is none other than ex-Full Tilt pro Gus Hansen, also known in poker circles as the “Great Dane”. Hansen is indeed a charismatic poker pro who used to be a regular at Full Tilt’s nosebleed cash tables, and who re-surfaced at PokerStars when Full Tilt closed.
Regarding his re-instatement as a Full Tilt representative, Hansen said that he was extremely happy about the move which for him felt a lot like coming home. He said he still believed that Full Tilt Poker possessed the best and most innovative
online poker software and that Full Tilt has remained through hell and high water one of poker’s most authentic brands.
New Full Tilt Poker representatives expressed hope that the new start for the brand would see the best online poker experience offered by Full Tilt Poker combine with PokerStars’ impeccable track record in regards to integrity.
The site will begin offering online poker services to players world-over, with the exception of the US, Italy, Spain, Denmark, Estonia, Belgium and France.
In regards to his return to Full Tilt Poker, Gus Hansen also said that he jumped on the opportunity to be paid to do what he loves to do and what he does anyway. As a Full Tilt ambassador, he will represent the brand not only in cash games but in tournaments too all over the world. Since Full Tilt’s demise, Hansen hasn’t really been playing in many live
poker tournaments. In regards to Full Tilt’s past woes, Hansen chose not to comment, saying instead that he was focused on the future rather than the past.
