The online poker weekend – 12 6-figure winners

The live poker scene was again extremely busy during the weekend, but that didn’t prevent the massive weekend online poker guarantees to raise huge starting fields for the second week in a row.
No fewer than 12 players picked up 6-figure rewards for their weekend efforts. The Sunday Million was yet again responsible for the biggest winner of the weekend, awarding a stunning $201,940 to second-place finisher Graftekkel.
The event drew a starting field of 10,354 players, which meant that the prize-pool would yet again ridicule the $1.5 million guarantee, shooting past it to $2,070,400.
The reason why it was the second place man who walked away with the biggest prize was the usual one: a 5-way deal involving the top finishers. Klorinho1 was the one who eventually won, taking home $172,400. Graftekkel finished second, followed by Cardinal2003 who pocketed $164,631. Timmybwee and davianvalek rounded up the top 5. No other player finished in 6-figures. Notable finishes were those of Tom Pomponio – who pocketed $62k for his 6th place – Keven Stammen (17th) and Will Molson (24th).

The Sunday Warm-up attracted an unusually high number of players as well. No fewer than 5,213 players showed up for this poker tournament, combining their $215 buy-ins for a $1,042,600 prize-pool. This event saw a 2-way deal at the top too, but this time it was the winner who took home the biggest payout. Stofzuiger73 won $151k. Second place man AVAN77 walked away with $111k, and third place finisher radik-dn was rewarded with $107k.
Robby Lipkin and Tom Middleton finished in the top 10. Other notable finishes were those of Garrett Beckman and Mike Dietrich.

Full Tilt Poker’s $750k guarantee barely managed to cover the guaranteed prize-pool and it only created a single 6-figure winner. Jason Helder won the event, taking home $135k.
The Sunday Brawl was responsible for yet another 6-figure winner: Will Failla won it for $106k.
