The Online Poker Weekend -Turmezey Wins Sunday Million

This past online poker weekend was yet again a busy one, despite the fact that the guarantees in the weekend majors were much smaller than during the previous weekend.
PokerStars’ Sunday Million for instance, only offered a $1 million guarantee this time, but the players pretty much ignored it, in the sense that they showed up by the thousands again, creating a prize-pool of more than $1.66 million.
As usual, the biggest tournament winner of the weekend came from the virtual tables of the Sunday Million. For Peter Turmezey, the victory was truly a special one: it was his second Sunday Million win, which meant that with it, he joined the exclusive club of two-time Sunday Million winners.
A total of 8,316 players bellied up to the virtual tables of the Sunday Million. The top 5 decided the strike a deal, which left the eventual winner with a share of $213.4k.
None of the other 4 players climbed above the $200k mark, but they all finished in 6-figures nonetheless.
The highest finishing notable (other than Turmezey of course) was Aleksandras Rusinovas, who ended up in 8th place, picking up an $18.2k reward.
The Sunday Warm-Up saw 3,481 players belly up to its tables and as expected, it put its guarantee to shame too: the resulting prize-pool was a $696.2k one, which meant that the winner, IAmLegend11 walked away with $87.8k. There was a 4-way deal at the top in this one too, which limited the amount of money the winner eventually took home. Brian England was the deepest-finishing pro in this tournament: he took home $29.5k for his 5th place finish.
