The Poker Grapevine – Chris Moorman’s Triple Crown

There are several kinds of Triple Crowns in poker/online poker, and some of the more easily attainable ones are about winning three different online poker tournaments at three different online poker rooms. Of course, there’s nothing easy about pulling off such a feat either, it’s just that all the other kinds of Triple Crowns we know about are much more difficult to accomplish.
Chris Moorman is the current king of the online poker Triple Crown, having accomplished the deed no fewer than 13 times. His last Triple Crown is a pretty recent one: it all started on February 9, when Moorman hit the tables of Full Tilt Poker and walked away with a $9.8k haul after winning a $30k guaranteed event. On February 11, he was at it again, only that time, at bwin, where he won a $15k guaranteed event, pocketing $3.9k for his efforts.
With the Triple Crown two thirds complete, he then headed over to PokerStars, and added yet another title to his online trophy-case, a win in the $109 NL Holdem Turbo 2x Chance, worth $12k. The win completed his 13th online Triple Crown, lending him a lead of three such achievements over Belabacsi of Hungary, who has 10 online Triple Crowns to his name.

In other news: Sam Grafton’s success at the online and live poker tables has been rewarded with a spot at Phil Galfond’s poker training site, where the UK pro has become an elite member.
Grafton’s biggest online score came in 2012, when he won a SCOOP event for a $230k prize. His live score came a tad later the same year at the GUKPT Grand Final, which he won, taking home the $163.9k top prize.
Just as soon as he joined Galfond’s team, Grafton won Full Tilt Poker’s Sunday Brawl.
