The
EPT London stop is always one of the richest and therefore most interesting stops of the season. We now know that this season, the London stop will be the 3rd of the tour and that it will kick off on September 30 and will run through October 6. The Main Event will be the focal point of the stop as always, but there will be no fewer than 31 events on the schedule, which will give pretty much everyone an opportunity to take home some EPT money.
PokerStars’ Liv Boeree said she was excited about the stop and that she would definitely take part.
There will be a whole bunch of high buy-in events, starting with the Main Event which will cost £5,250 to register for. The High Rollers event will of course be the most expensive one: buy-ins cost £20,500. Of course, the prizes will be just as ridiculously large too. There will be a £5k heads-up event too. Those of more meager means will probably find events like the £330 NL Holdem “Win the Button” event or the £120
NL Holdem Hyper Turbo event much more attractive.
The Hilton London Metropole will host the stop again and cash games will take place at the Grosvenor Victoria Casino.
In other news: it is more and more obvious that there’s a grand theft auto ring out there increasingly specializing in targeting poker players. The operation seems to be a global one too, or at least their MO is. A couple of weeks ago, Van Marcus’ Ferrari F430 Spider disappeared from the valet parking at the Crown Casino in Melbourne, Australia.
Last weekend, it was apparently Barry Greenstein’s turn to suffer the indignity of losing his car – an Aston Martin DB9 from the valet parking. His ride disappeared from the Mission Hills Marriott parking lot in San Diego.
Eventually, it turned out a valet with alleged mental issues took the car, thinking it was his.
