The Poker Grapevine – Full Tilt About to Find an Investor?

Half the online poker world has money locked up at Full Tilt Poker one way or another, therefore to say that the issue of Full Tilt Poker securing an investor that would eventually make it possible for the site to begin returning player monies is important, is quite possibly a gross understatement. Although the online poker interdiction should only affect US players, currently no one is able to withdraw any money from the site, neither players nor affiliates, and there are entities out there that have hundreds of thousands of dollars stuck. According to an online poker news portal based in Canada, there may be several entities interested in taking over Full Tilt’s players, debt issues and all. According to the source, 888Poker, Playtech and Bwin.Party are all potentially interested in acquiring Full Tilt Poker. PokerStars have not currently been mentioned, as they seem to have plenty on their hands sorting out their own post Black Friday problems.

888Poker has been singled out. According to the source, the site had lost plenty of players to its illegally operated competitor, a player-base which it is currently interested in recouping, even if it means that it would have to shoulder the burden of Full Tilt Poker’s “infamous” debt issues.
Whether or not there’s any truth in the above speculations, remains to be seen. One thing is certain: players would definitely welcome any sort of positive development in the Full Tilt ordeal.

In other news: Google have never really made it a secret that they intend their Google+ to position itself as a direct competitor to Facebook, and the war already seems underway: Google+ has just launched a platform which includes 16 social games from third party developers. Zynga Poker is apparently among these games.
Zynga Poker is already available at Yahoo, MySpace and Facebook. Whether or not the search giant will manage to gain traction on the social networking scene thanks to these games remains to be seen.
