The poker grapevine – Isildur1 takes a trouncing

Many things may have changed for online poker’s favorite masked avenger upon his signing with PokerStars, but his extreme streakiness was definitely not one of those things. It was only a couple of days ago that we told you about how he won $287,500 during a 14 hour span, but now we have radically different news about Isildur1’s PokerStars antics. It appears that in the wake of his winning session, the Swede went right back to the tables donating all the money he had won right back and some more on top of it.
The culprit for Isildur1’s losses was once again pot limit Omaha. He played heads-up at four tables, from $25/$50 to $100/$200 stakes, and ended up dropping a fabulous amount of money to Phil 's Galfond.
Galfond himself was running quite streaky lately. He said he had nearly busted his PokerStars account, and that the money he picked up from the Swede was like a welcome breath of much-needed air.

Full Tilt Poker’s Million IX is approaching a final milestone these days. Having started in July, the event features 48 players doing battle for the final prize. With six heats gone by, only eight were left in contention.
Patrik Antonius, Gus Hansen, Barny Boatman, James Bord, Howard Lederer, Tony Bloom, Gary Paniket and Seth Weber were the final eight. Patrik Antonius had already bitten the dust, so there are now only seven players battling it out.

The second season of PokerStars’ Million Dollar challenge is coming to an end today. Without a shadow of a doubt, we can now affirm that the Million Dollar Challenge has indeed become television's most popular poker show.
Four finalists will match skills in a SNG to decide the player who will go up against Daniel Negreanu for a top prize of $1 million.
