The Poker Grapevine – Matt Glantz Giving Away Percentages of Himself

Poker Pro Matt Glantz has launched a website and apparently, he’s short on members right now, so he decided to try to recruit some, in a rather unconventional manner. He’s offering people the chance to get a percentage of his action in three different events. All one has to do to lay claim to the percentage shares is to create an account at the site and to do some recruiting. A total of 6 members will receive such stakes: the 6 who manage to recruit the most new members.
One of the winners will get a 10% share of Matt Glantz’s WPT Jacksonville action. The event takes place on November 18. The other 5 winners will get percentages of Glantz’s Bellagio Five Diamonds Main Event and Epic Poker League Main Event action. Both of those events take place in December.
For those who think getting any money out of the deal is a long-shot: it’s not. Glantz has actually cashed in both editions of the EPL Main Event thus far, so the odds are in his favor indeed. He has more than $4 million in tournament earnings and his biggest ever live tournament win was a $882,736 payday at the
EPT’s London High Roller Event, so if he says he can cash in tournaments one had better take his word for it.
In other news: PKR have announced the other day that they were about to add a new pro to their in-house roster. Of course, the announcement they released contained no specifics in regards to the identity of the pro. According to the said statement, the new player is one of the best poker players in the world, so as far as we’re concerned it can be just about anyone not yet signed by
PokerStars. As a side note: Ivey, Lederer and Hellmuth are currently all without a poker room to represent.
