The Poker Grapevine – More on the Full Tilt Ordeal

A popular poker forum was yet again the scene of Full Tilt-related unveilings this past week. Professional poker player Harry Demetriou, one of the major victims of the Black Friday implosion at Full Tilt Poker, and one of the staunchest supporters of US players recovering their Full Tilt monies, took to the message boards again to shed some more light on the issue.
In his post, Demetriou states that several deals were floated in the wake of the Black Friday events for Full Tilt Poker. Among these deals, there was one allegedly set up by Phil Ivey as well as one tied to Jack Binion.
Demetriou also said that Full Tilt Poker was likely to never resurface as a major online poker room, given the fact that those in charge weren’t really focusing on the real problems of the organization. According to Demetriou, the site is currently ‘beyond salvation’ as little to no focus is given to matters that would facilitate recovery.

In the same time, Demetriou makes it clear that he believes Full Tilt Poker officials are genuinely preoccupied with the sorting out of the mess that they created. To support his assumption, Demetriou quotes the fact that shareholders and owners weren’t paid a penny after Black Friday.

The Black Friday indictments have certainly put the scare into online poker interests operating in the US. One by one, they all seem to gather up their belongings to move to Europe. Poker Pros Network is the latest online poker operator to quit the US market. PPN announced that their operation has moved to PPNpoker.eu, and that after August 31st, they would stop accepting registrations from US-based players. The site will apparently also leave the Cake network to move to a proprietary platform. The new market approach of the operation seems to be based on the unique proprietary software they’re apparently developing. The new software will feature unique perks like live dealers and dealers’ choice games.

In regards to 2 pair hand vs flush:the best move to make in that siuttaion would have been to bet the turn rather than checking. This would make the player with the drawing hand have to pay to hit the flush and would have made his/her odds not favorable to do so. As you can see by checking the turn I let him in free and paid the price.
