Viktor Blom About $4 Million in the Black in 2013

Full Tilt Poker’s relatively new in-house pro, Viktor Blom, has raised quite a few eyebrows the other week, when he simply didn’t show up to defend his 2012
PCA $100k Super High Roller title. It turns out that a player of Blom’s caliber never makes a move without there being a serious reason behind it. Apparently, while the cream of the live poker world was busy hacking away at the Super High Roller tables, Blom was busy with much bigger things: he went on a tear at Full Tilt’s high stakes cash tables, amassing about $4 million in profits. If that’s not a good reason to skip a title defense, we don’t really know what is…
The first week of the New Year saw Blom amass $2.7 million in profits. While that was quite a beginning to the year on its own, Blom’s heater continued last week. He played none other than two of the most successful
online poker players of 2012: Ben Sulsky and Phil Galfond and he managed to take a combined $1.3 million from them – possibly an even more impressive feat than his week 1 run.
Another thing that underlined the true magnitude of the affair for Blom was a tweet he fired out on January 9, in which he said he had had one of the biggest winning days of his life.
At his best, Blom collected $743k from Sulsky within just two hours, playing heads-up PLO at 3 tables. Feeling quite unbeatable, Blom then took things further, locking horns with Alexonmoon at the triple draw tables. From that session – which lasted about 90 minutes – he walked away with $89.2k.
The interesting this about Blom’s early 2013 heater is that his $4.1 million profit has topped 2012’s entire production by the biggest winner.
