Qualify Online to the European Poker Tour 2013 – EPT 9 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure

The PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (or PCA) is one of the most prestigious poker events world-over. It is in fact quite safe to say that the PCA is second only to the WSOP when it comes to player participation, prize-pools and general hype. Having reached its 10th edition, the PCA always takes place in the winter, which only adds to its appeal by offering players in the Northern Hemisphere a chance to get away from the cold and darkness of the season.
Last year, the EPT’s PCA turned into a 10-day long poker festival. Millions of dollars in prize-money found their way into players’ pockets and the Main Event turned out to be the biggest and the richest PCA Main Event ever. It drew a starting field of 1,072 players, despite its $10,000+$300 buy-in, and it showed yet again how amateurs could go head to head with pros at the PCA. The eventual winner of last year’s Main Event was John Dibella, an amateur player who hit the cash of a life-time: $1.77 million.

This time around, the European Poker Tour’s PCA will kick off on January 5 and it will last all the way to January 14. The venue is the same: the Atlantis on Paradise Island, and organizers hope that participation will be even higher than last year.
The Main Event kicks off on January 7 and runs till January 13. Those who win their PCA Main Event packages online will be able to occupy their hotel rooms on January 6.
This brings us to the issue of online qualifying: PokerStars is hosting a wide range of satellites and sub-satellites, some of which are actually freerolls, which means that players can theoretically win a seat for free.
