Viktor Blom Finishes 2015 as Biggest Online Cash Game Winner

Viktor Blom and Phil Ivey have stolen most of the online cash game headlines in 2015, for different reasons. While the former eventually turned out to be the biggest winner at the games, with some $2.1 million in profits, the latter was the biggest loser, having dropped almost $4 million. Blom played at Full Tilt Poker as well as at PokerStars, and while his losses were rather impressive as well, his profits easily tuned them out. The $2.1 million is his bottom line, although his profits may actually total more than that, as it is rumored that he won quite a bit at the Microgaming network too. At Full Tilt Poker, he was the second biggest loser, having dropped some $1.36 million. At PokerStars though, he won some $3.5 million.
The biggest pot that Blom took down at PokerStars was a $365.8k whooper, which landed in his lap on August 25, at the $200/$400 PLO tables. The one the money came from was Sean Rafael.
Play at PokerStars: the revamped VIP system means that the site is now much more recreational-friendly than it used to be.

Not only did Blom finish the biggest winner, his profits totaled more than twice the added-up profits of the second and third biggest winners. For the record, these other winners were bbvisbadforme and Jens Kyllonen respectively.
At Full Tilt Poker, Ivey lost some $1.25 million. To that, he added some $2.5 million, dropped at PokerStars.
The most efficient player of the year was without a doubt Isaac Haxton, who only logged 1,805 hands at Full Tilt Poker, generating some $341.5k in profits, an amount enough to place him on the biggest winners of the year list. Ben Sulsky and Mikael Thuritz are among the biggest winners as well.
