Weekend Online Poker Action – Kenney Wins $109 Sunday Rebuy

PokerStars’ 10th anniversary celebrations kicked off at the beginning of the month and player traffic has been up ever since. Last weekend, plenty of players took to the felt to take advantage of the various guaranteed prize-pools offered at the site. Some were more successful than others. There were plenty of “name” players in the mix too, among them Bryn Kenney, who won the $109 Sunday Rebuy.
The event drew a starting field of 1,012 players. They all coughed up a $109 buy-in to create a prize-pool of $322k.
There were no deals in this event. Bryn Kenney took home $59.5k after finishing on top. He was followed by Pablo Brito, who took home $43.1k for his second place. Torkolort1 finished 3rd, for a $32.2k reward.
Other notables who finished high were Scott Desveaux (7th place - $10.4k) and Steve Tripp (12th place - $3.3k).
The Sunday Million saw a starting field of 6,899 players belly up to the tables. The prize-pool was a massive $1,379,800. Jose Barbero played well in this event and managed a successful deep run. He picked up $3.2k for his 23rd place. The top of the pops saw a 4-way deal in this event. traxxart was the one who emerged with the win, taking home $143.6k. Gabriel171 finished second for $149.4k.
Marcin Milde finished 3rd for $128.4k. The last player to take home a 6-figure prize was needcashquik, who pocketed $129.8k for his efforts.
Other notables to finish high in this event were Steve Tripp and Daniel Reijmer.
The Sunday Warm-Up generated a prize-pool of $717k. The winner of the event was raulbcn, who took down $83.6k after a three-way deal with runner up 3591omanyd and 943003. The second place prize was a $93k. The third-place man took home $78.9k.
Jose Barbero made a deep run in this event too: he finished 14th for a $3.2k haul.
