A bunch of on line poker sites are running rake races this month, and some of them are very good. Few compare to the race currently underway at Unibet Poker, however, and we’re here to tell you why. Whereas most on line poker sites run rake races of maybe $10k, the Unibet Poker Raked Hands Promotion in April is worth a huge €50,000. Not only that, however, this is a Raked Hands Promotion with a twist!
When you play holdem for cash this month at Unibet Poker you will earn points that contribute to your standing on a leaderboard position: nothing new there. There are two leaderboards being run, one for lower stake tournaments, and one for higher stake tournaments: nothing new there either. Here’s where it gets interesting however. At the end of the month when the leaderboard positions are all tied up, the top 60 players will be entered into heads-up tournaments, from which 24 players from each of the leaderboards will get a cash prize. In this Raked Hands Promotion only the top 4 players are guaranteed a prize; every-one else has to play holdem harder than ever to win. The heads-up tournaments will be according to finishing positions: positions 1 – 4 will face each other; positions 5- 12 will face each other, positions 13 – 28 will face each other, and positions 29 – 60 will face each other. In the first grouping, all four players will get a prize. In the High leaderboard the top prize is €8,000, 2nd is €5,000, and 3rd and 4th is €1,500. In the Low leaderboard the prizes are €4,000, €2,000, and €750 respectively.
