Forget about the November Nine, that ship has sailed, but what about the Epic Nine? A tournament running at Absolute Poker at the same time as the November Nine, only this is one you can play in.
The November Nine is the focus of so much attention, but at this point folks it's entertaining, but if we're planning on catching it on TV it means we're not cashing in on that opportunity. However, poker will be in the air, and Absolute Poker customers have the opportunity of experiencing their own winning streak with the Epic Nine tournament.
The Epic Nine tournament will be held on November 10th at Absolute Poker, and you have the month of October to qualify in. As the name suggests, this is a final table tournament, with a final table prize-pool to be played for. The 9 players who make it through to the Epic Nine will be fighting it out not just for glory, but for a share of the $50k prize-pool being put up by Absolute Poker. If you're excited about this opportunity, then wait up because it gets better. There are only actually 8 seats available for the Epic Nine; why? The ninth seat, or rather the first seat is already spoken for; the Prince of Poker, Phil Hellmuth, is already signed up for the tournament. Not just playing, Hellmuth will have a bounty on his head; the player that knocks him out will get a seat for the Absolute Poker $200k event.
Clearly the seats for the Epic Nine are much sought after and not easily come by, however there are a variety of ways of getting one; the MTT Leaderboard contenders, new players earning high FAME status in October, and Daily Status Points Race participants all have the chance of winning a seat.
