The Carling Cup may be over but the Poker League of Champions is just getting started at Bwin Poker.
Yesterday marked the kick off of the Poker League of Champions and thus 6 weeks of fierce battles for a once in a life time prize. The slog to the top is certainly not going to be an easy one, but for those of you who make it, the rewards will be well and truly worth it. The first place prize in the Poker League of Champions promotion is a package for 2 people including flights, accommodation, £3,000 in spending money, and 2 tickets to watch an AC Milan and a Real Madrid game. The first place runner up will get a package to see either AC Milan or Real Madrid with £1,000 of spending money, whilst the second place runner up will get the same except with £500 of spending money. Whilst of course these are the most exciting prizes, they’re not the only ones. Players up to and including position 150 will receive prizes varying from cash prizes, to football shirts, to freeroll entries.
Now to get into that top 150, or even better into the top 3 positions, you need to get to the Poker League of Champions Final. As we said this won’t be easy but it’s very possible. Each week there are two freeroll tournaments running, one on Tuesdays and one on Thursdays. From each of these qualifying freerolls 50 players will go onto the next stage of the Championship which is the knockout stage. There will be in total 6 knockout stages from each of which 25 players will qualify for the Poker League of Champions Final which will be held on April 14th, 2010.
